Christine photographs artwork, artists and people at work, from her studio at Lake Macdonald on the Sunshine Coast.
Artwork, artists and people at work
Most of her week is spent with artists. She photographs paintings, works on paper, sculpture and installations for giclée prints, competition entries, exhibition catalogues and insurance records. More than 500 artists have come through the studio, from people selling their first piece to established painters.
Artwork is collected in her 2.4 metre van from across the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Caloundra and Gympie, then photographed in a colour-correct studio on a 200 megapixel camera. The studio is Crimsafe secured and every work is insured while it’s with her. Pieces too big to move, some up to four metres, she photographs on site.
The rest of the time she photographs people at work. Headshots, team photos, campaigns and events for businesses including Westpac, Kimberly-Clark Professional, Ramsay Health and Sunshine Coast Council.
She’s an accredited professional photographer (A.Photog. ANZIPP) and a member of the Australian Photographic Society. Her book The Studio Project profiles 39 Sunshine Coast artists in their studios and won the Open Category at the 2025 APS Photo Book Awards.

Away from the studio
Christine grew up travelling around Australia and overseas, and still does. Her own projects come out of those trips, from Antarctica, Iceland and Africa, and many have been exhibited and awarded. She’s been involved with Rotary, Surf Life Saving and the Hear and Say Centre, and was named Sunshine Coast Young Businesswoman of the Year.
